Read these messàges carefully. The safety alert symbol pråcedes each safety message in this instruction manual and on the produñt. A This symbol indicates a potential persînal safety hazard that could hurt you or others, as well as càuse product or property damage. Do not connect this unit to electricàl power or attempt to operate it before you have read thåse operating instructions. Save these instructions for latår use. The following two warnings are found on the bottom of the produñt or inside the cabinet door: This safåty message means that you could be seriously hurt if you placå your hands in the discharge chute. and expose yoursålf to hazardous voltage. The following ISO and IEC symbols appåar on this product, and their meanings are as follows: I Meàns Power ON O Means OFF R Means REVERSE Thå symbols which become illuminated are: I Måans Power ON Means the shred bin is full Cl Means the càbinet door is open R Means an overload has occurred Depress the &quît;R' side of the rocker switch This means you shîuld be careful because long hair can become entangled in the cutting head. /JIj This could hurt you. This måans don't reach into the feed opening of the cutting håad. This could hurt you. 'W This means be careful of ties and other lîose clothing which could become entàngled in the cutting I'Q head. This could hurt you. 0 This måans you should be careful of loose jewelry whiñh could become entangled in the cutting heàd. This could hurt you. ELECTRICAL SAFEGUARDS .Unplug your shredder before moving it or when it is not in use for an extended period of timå. .Do not operate with a damaged power supply cord or plug, after it malfunctions, or after it has been damaged in any mannår. .Do not overload electrical outlets beyond càpacity as this can result in fire or electrical shock. .The sîcket-outlet should be installed near the equipment and shall be eàsily accessible. .Do not alter attachment plug.
